Memorial Day Asado

Memorial Day Asado

Memorial Day is coming right up and even though we're still limited in how we can celebrate, we want you to be able to get outside, fire up the grill and entertain while social distancing! This meal is inspired by a South American Asado, a large spread of different meats and sides grilled up and shared family style that tastes as great as it looks. I have a suggested mix of meats below, but if you see something at the store that looks good instead or you want to add it, go for it!

Ingredients:
2 lbs. Flank Steak (can substitute a large sirloin or small tri-tip steak)
1-2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken thighs (Can substitute boneless pork chops)
1-2 lbs. smoked sausage links such as andouille or linguica
J. Brady’s Cowboy Shake

Directions:
Heat a gas or charcoal grill to medium high heat. You are looking for constant steady cooking so no high heat. Season beef and chicken with J. Brady’s Cowboy Shake and place on grill along with sausage. Cook beef until medium (8-10 minutes per side), chicken until done through (10 minutes per side), and sausage until slightly charred and fully heated through (5 minutes per side). Attempt to only flip meats once. Once meats are done cooking, allow beef and chicken to rest for 10 minutes (very important)! After resting, slice sausage into 2 inch lengths and chicken into 1 inch slices. Slice beef into 1 inch slices across the grain. Arrange meats onto a large platter and Serve along side preferred salads, vegetables, and any desired condiments.
